Talent contest winners named

The Brewer Kiwanis Club recently held its second annual So You Think You Have Talent show in June. Area radio personality Ric Tyler announced the winners in the following categories:

. Up to age 12: $500 to Sidney MacIvor and Nikolai White, who did a ballet routine.

. Ages 13-18, $500 to Rachael Caron, who did a dance routine.

. Ages 18 and over, $500 to Steve and John Fitzgerald, who did an original dance routine.

. The grand prize winner with $1,000 as a prize was awarded to Rachael Costlow, who sang and played the bass.

Proceeds from the event go to local children’s charities and projects.

The next project for the Brewer Kiwanis Club is a casino night as part of the Brewer High School Project Graduation.

The Brewer Kiwanis meets at 6 p.m. the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at the Muddy Rudder Restaurant in Brewer.
