Watson wins final race, but Burrill takes series

HERMON – Kris Watson of Hermon won the final 50-lap Super Streets “Series” race at Speedway 95 Saturday, while runner-up Richard Burrill of Sullivan claimed the three-race championship by edging Watson 142-140.

Franklin’s Mike Overlock finished third on Saturday, Jeff Overlock Jr. of Hermon was fourth and Travis Beale of Winterport finished fifth.

Oxford Plains Speedway

At Oxford, Rookie Jimmy Childs of Leeds led all but the first three laps to claim his first Late Model victory in the 40-lap feature Saturday night. Shawn Martin of Turner finished second followed by Shawn Knight of South Paris, Travis Adams of Canton and Leeds’ Kurt Hewins.
