HOPE – Scott and Robin Horty, Hope Fire Department supporters, have come forward to offer a local blueberry field to help support the Fire Department building fund.

From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 10, guests will be welcome to rake or pick their own blueberries.

A small fee of $2 a pound will be charged. The $2 fee will benefit the Hope Volunteer Fire Department’s New Hope Corner Fire Station Fund.

The Horty blueberry field is located on Ludwig Road in Hope and can be reached by following the signs from Route 105. The Horty family will have a winnowing machine available for those who would like their blueberries winnowed.

Pickers are asked to provide their own containers. A limited supply of rakes will be available to borrow.
