ROCKLAND – The Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce is getting ready to run an online auction fundraiser from 8 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, at www.pbrccauction.cmarket.com.

About 100 of the items will be sold at a live auction from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, at the Samoset Resort in Rockport. Bruce and Becky Gamage will serve as auctioneers. The event will include a concession stand and an elimination drawing. The items for the live auction will be identified as such on the Internet, and absentee bidding will be available to those who cannot attend.

Auction items will include a Fisher plow from Fisher Engineering in Rockland, one of the event sponsors; business services, artwork, travel, lodging packages, dining, recreational activities, gift baskets, train rides, handcrafted items, boat trips, landscaping supplies and other items.

Other sponsors are Gamage Antiques, Coastal Critters Clambakes and Global Packing & Shipping.

Several items may be viewed on the Web site now, and more items are added daily. Donations will be accepted through mid-November.
