ORONO – Why do ants carry large bundles? Why are there ants everywhere on earth? Why do mosquitoes buzz in people’s ears, and why are Maine mosquitoes so nasty?

Renowned storyteller Michael Parent will provide “ant-swers” to questions about some of your favorite – and not-so-favorite – bugs at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 7, at Webster Park.

The event is the Orono Public Library’s end-of-summer celebration.

After the performance, the Friends of the Library and the Orono-Old Town Kiwanis will provide a cookout.
