BANGOR – The second annual Bangor High School girls soccer alumnae game will be held on Aug. 22 at 7 p.m. at the Bangor High School soccer field.
The alumnae will play the current varsity team, and proceeds will benefit the Danielle Marie Thompson Scholarship Fund. Thompson, a four-year team member who captained the Rams before graduating in 2003, died in 2007 from a brief illness during her senior year at the University of New Hampshire.
Admission is free but donations will be accepted. Concessions will be available from 5-9 p.m. There will be a raffle and silent auction during the game.
Alumnae wishing to participate are asked to register by Wednesday. A $20 participation fee will go to the scholarship fund and players will receive a T-shirt. Those interested are asked to contact Pam Tweedie at 947-7245.
