BEIJING – The 2008 Olympic debuts of three rowers from Maine were pushed back Sunday when races in the men’s and women’s eights were postponed due to inclement weather.
Anna Goodale of Camden and Elle Logan of Boothbay Harbor are teammates on the U.S. women’s eight, while Wyatt Allen of Portland competes in the men’s eight.
Heats in the eights were rescheduled for Monday beginning at 2:50 a.m. EDT. With multiple rowers from the women’s eight also racing in the pairs, the women’s pair repechage has been moved to Tuesday and the women’s eight repechage will now be held Wednesday. The men’s eight repechages will still be held on Tuesday.
