Union Street takes Bay League crown

HERMON – Jimmy Cox pitched a three-hitter in a 6-1 win and the Union Street Cleaners went on to post a 4-2 victory in the second game of a three-game series to beat Montville for the Bay League baseball title Sunday.

In game one, Scott Hackett hit a two-run single for Union Street Cleaners. Cox struck out eight.

Ian Lee hit a double and a single for Montville.

In game two, Scott Hackett notched two singles and an RBI for Union Street. Brian Hackett hit an RBI double and Nick Arthurs added a double for the winners.
