AUGUSTA – The Bicycle Coalition of Maine will offer valet bicycle parking at the American Folk Festival in Bangor on Aug. 22-24. The free service saves money on gas, helps limit traffic congestion, and promotes a healthful environment at the festival on the Bangor Waterfront.

Seven Park and Pedal sites will accommodate cyclists coming from all directions. Locations may be found at www.bikemaine.org. Distances from the parking areas to the festival range from 1 to 12 miles.

The American Folk Festival offers a multicultural celebration of traditional music and dance, arts and crafts and an active children’s area. Admission is free to all performances, demonstrations and workshops, but donations are encouraged.
