Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Rebecca R. Dubois graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. She is a 2000 graduate of Lawrence High School, Fairfield, and a 2004 graduate of Plymouth State University, N.H. She is the daughter of Roberta Dubois of Belfast and Timothy Dubois of Fairfield.

Pvt. David B. Candee has completed basic training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, S.C. He is the son of David and Lori Candee of Addison.

U.S. Navy Ensign James Fuller Lawsing IV graduated from the United States Naval Academy, Annapolis, Md., and was commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Navy. He has a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in history. He is the son of James and Lisa Lawsing of Castine.

Army Pvt. Michael A. Newcomb has been mobilized and activated for deployment to a forward operating base in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He is a 2002 graduate of Bucksport High School and the son of Delmara and Adelle Newcomb of Belfast.

Air Force Airman Ryan J. Moholland has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He is a 2006 graduate of Rockland District High School and is the son of Eileen Knight of Cushing and Richard Moholland Jr. of Eastport.

Air National Guard Airman 1st Class John R. Tkach has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He is a 2004 graduate of Calais High School and is the son of John Tkach of Robbinston.

Army National Guard Pvt. Christopher R. McCall has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. He is a 2002 graduate of Woodland High School, Baileyville, and is the son of Annie McCall of Princeton.
