GRAND LAKE STREAM – Downeast Lakes Land Trust will continue its History and Heritage series of educational community events with a presentation on “Crafting Wooden Instruments” at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug, 21, at the Town Building on Water Street.

The presentation will focus on how wooden string instruments are crafted by hand, including which trees provide the wood selected for the instruments, and the qualities of the wood. Thom Knowles of Lee, owner and founder of Dragonfly Instruments, will give a presentation.
