GREAT WASS ISLAND-BEALS – The Downeast Institute for Applied Marine Research and Education will hold a shellfish field day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, at its facility at Black Duck Cove.

The day will feature informational displays and activities to inform attendees about the shellfish industry and the research being conduct at DEI.
