ROCKLAND – Down East Pirate Days will be held 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 24, at Buoy Park.
The schedule includes puppet shows, period vendors, food vendors and music. Saturday evening the pirates invite the public to sample rum at taverns on Main Street and then proceed to the Waterworks on Lindsey Street for the first Buccaneer Ball. There is a $10 cover charge.
A portion of the proceeds from Down East Pirate Days goes to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
