I recently saw a television ad during which Sen. Susan Collins discussed her plan to address our current energy crisis. I think it is a reasonable and well-developed plan. Most people realize that we can not drill our way out of this problem, but producing more, using less and developing alternative energies will help lead us on a path to future energy independence and less reliance on oil from the Middle East.

Sen. Collins’ bipartisan skills add to her leadership effectiveness and I am proud to support her continued service as our United States Senator.
