Anyone needing immediate assistance (excluding holidays) may visit the Ellsworth Branch Office at 24 Church St., Ellsworth. Locations may be viewed at www.maine.lgov/sos/bmv/locations/index.html.
Applicants needing an extension on their licenses may contact License Services at 624-9000, ext. 52114 or may write to the Secretary of State, Bureau of Motor Vehicles, State House Station 29, 101 Hospital St., Augusta 04333. Applicants who have an active digital license or digital Maine ID card may be eligible to renew their licenses online at www.maine.gov/sos/bmv.
