The following recalls have been announced:

. Hop Lee Trading Co. Inc. is recalling 12-ounce plastic packages of Chinese-made Flower brand dried sweet potato because they contain sulfites that are not listed on the label.

This could be a problem for people with sulfite sensitivity, such as some asthmatics.

No incidents have been reported.

The sweet potato was distributed to stores around the country in July and August. Details: by phone at 718-821-2315.

. S&M Enterprise Corp. is recalling 3.5-ounce plastic bags of Chinese-made Grove Grow Notes brand dried bamboo fungus Veiled Lady because they contain sulfites that are not listed on the label.

This could be a problem for people with sulfite sensitivity, such as some asthmatics.

No incidents have been reported.

The bamboo fungus was distributed to stores around the country. Details: by phone at 718-492-4288.

. Watson Pharmaceuticals Inc. said one lot of 75 microgram-per-hour Fentanyl Transdermal System patches is being recalled from wholesalers and pharmacies because some of the lot’s patches have leaked fentanyl gel, possibly exposing patients or caregivers directly to the gel.

This might lead to serious effects, including difficulty breathing and possible overdose, which may be fatal.

No injuries have been reported in connection with this recalled lot.

The painkiller, made by Watson Pharmaceuticals Inc. of Corona, Calif., was sold in the United States. The recalled patches are from lot No. 92461850 and have expiration dates of Aug. 31, 2009.
