EAST NEWPORT – The annual North Country Inter-tribal Pow-Wow is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, Aug. 30 to Sept. 1, at 943 Elm Street, also known as Route 2.
The event will feature American Indian dancers, drum groups, traders and storytellers. Food vendors also will be at the site. The opening ceremony starts at noon Friday, Aug. 30, with master of ceremonies Jim Augustine of Canada. The host drum will be Bear Lodge Drum of Presque Isle.
