Bangor medical practice awarded for excellence

The Maine Health Management Coalition has awarded Bangor Internal Medicine Associates, an affiliate of St. Joseph Healthcare, three of its Pathways to Excellence blue ribbon awards. Ribbons were awarded in recognition of the practice’s heart disease care and diabetes care as well as the use of technology in managing its clinical office systems.

Bangor Internal Medicine Associates operates at two locations in Bangor: one at St. Joseph Hospital at 360 Broadway and the other in the St. Joseph Healthcare Park at 900 Broadway.

The Maine Health Management Coalition is made up of more than 60 organizations aimed at improving health care quality in Maine, including health plans, physician offices, hospitals and large employers across the state.
