EAST NEWPORT – The annual North Country Intertribal Pow-Wow is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and Monday, Aug. 30-Sept. 1, at 934 Elm St. (Route 2).

The event will feature Native American dancers, drum groups, traders and storytellers. Food vendors also will be on hand.

The opening ceremony starts at noon Saturday, Aug. 30, with master of ceremonies Jim Augustine. The host drum will be Bear Lodge Drum of Presque Isle.
