Youth soccer

GLENBURN – Registration for youth soccer will take place 6:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3, at the Glenburn Town Office. The program is available for children in kindergarten through sixth grade. A new program, with parents on site, for preschoolers also will be offered. For more information, call 945-3119.

Double Hill Duathlon

PROSPECT – The Double Hill Duathlon, consisting of a three-mile run and 16-mile bicycle ride, will take place at 9 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 14, at Fort Knox State Historic Site in Prospect. Registration begins at 8 a.m. The cost is $25, $35 per team, including admission to the park and Penobscot Narrows Observatory. Prizes will be awarded in age categories and for teams. Proceeds benefit the program of the Friends of Fort Knox.
