Linebacker Stephen Cooper of San Diego, strong safety Brandon McGowan of Chicago, linebacker Lofa Tatupu of Seattle, fullback/special teams player Montell Owens of Jacksonville and defensive end Mike DeVito of the New York Jets earned roster spots.

Rookie tight end Matt Mulligan of West Enfield was placed on Miami’s practice squad Sunday, while first-year fullback Anthony Cotrone is on injured reserve with the Jaguars after suffering a knee injury.

Three UMaine products were cut Saturday, including veteran offensive lineman Mike Flynn (Patriots), wide receiver Kevin McMahan (Chiefs) and safety Daren Stone (Chicago).
