ROCKLAND – An area fabric-and-frame manufacturing company has installed its products in the Indianapolis Colts’ new 1.8-million-square-foot football stadium.

Duvall Dynamic Spaces said it has completed its installation of video monitors in the $700 million project, named Lucas Oil Stadium, in Indianapolis.

Duvall makes fabric and frame structures.

Randall McKee, sales agent for Duvall, said company employs 12 people and contracts with a number of subcontractors.

The National Football League team’s stadium project, done in collaboration with design and engineering partner Dimensional Innovations of Kansas City, Mo., was contracted by Sprint, one of Duvall’s corporate clients.

Duvall’s work at the stadium highlights one of the four main entrances. It uses fabric, frame, lighting and six large screen monitors with an overall height of 63 feet, suspended from the massive ceiling in the stadium entrance.

McKee likened the structure to a pillowcase over a light aluminum structure.

Fabric structures have become a preferred medium in architectural interiors, combining sculptural installations with architectural lighting, he said.

The fabric structures were designed and engineered at Duvall’s facility on Route 90 in Rockland and installed by project managers Roland Croteau and Juan Alcala, McKee said.

“We’ve been in business for 15 years,” he said, “but we’ve never had a direct-to-consumer product.

“We’re expanding our markets into direct-to-consumer programs,” he said.

The company has a new showroom and gallery on Route 90 near the intersection of Route 17.
