Bangor

Community chorus

Members of the Bangor Community Chorus, under the direction of Joshua Schmersal, invite men and women of all ages and voice ranges to attend Guest Night at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, at First United Methodist Church, 703 Essex St.

Reading music is not required, and one does not have to be an accomplished singer to join the chorus.

A love of singing and the ability to have fun are the only requirements.

The chorus has a 40-year history of performing in Greater Bangor.

Schmersal’s choral and theatrical experience has been applauded throughout New England, New York and in Europe.

Pianist Colin Graebert joined the chorus as its accompanist last year.
