Orono Adult Education
ORONO – Orono Adult and Community Education has formed a partnership with the SAD 22 adult education program, which serves residents of Hampden, Newburgh and Winterport. Matt Tardie has been hired as director of the partnership.
Residents of both educational communities will now have access to a wider variety of courses and instructors, and both programs will have the opportunity to offer their courses in both systems.
Orono’s adult education program will continue to offer on-site personal enrichment courses, a high school diploma program and literacy skills in several areas.
Those interested in learning more about the program or interested in offering a new course through the Orono adult education program may call 866-4119. Course registrations may be mailed to: Orono Adult Education, 14 Goodridge Drive, Orono 04473. The Web site is www.orono.u87.k12.me.us/osd/OronoAdultEd.htm.
High school diploma courses begin the week of Sept. 8. Personal enrichment courses and special programs start on or after Monday, Sept. 22.
