BOSTON – A Coast Guard helicopter airlifted an injured Maine fisherman from a vessel 34 miles off the coast of Nantucket and flew him to a Boston hospital early Friday.
The Coast Guard received a radio call around 2 a.m. from the Portland-based Harmony, which reported that a crew member suffered a head injury.
Petty Officer Connie Terrell said a Jayhawk helicopter crew from Cape Cod took the 42-year-old man to a Boston hospital. His condition wasn’t known.
