Eric enjoys athletics, attention

Eric is a young boy, born in 1995, with a big heart and a great smile.

Eric is fun to be around. He does great impersonations that will surely get you laughing. On top of that, Eric is incredibly caring. He will go out of his way to make sure someone else is happy, especially if they are having a hard time. He is very interested in making sure people are being treated fairly, which is a true strength.

He is at grade level in middle school, and receives some extra help in school to assist him in doing his best. Though Eric has had some challenges with peers in the past, he says that he has lots of friends this year and is very popular. Eric also loves attention from adults and can be very engaging.

Eric has a lot of interests and loves to be active. He is on his school’s swim team and also enjoys football, basketball, skateboarding and snowboarding. He is quite athletic. Eric is also learning to play the trumpet and was in a play recently. Many people cannot believe what a talented and enthusiastic performer he is.

Eric has two siblings who are very important to him, plus other family with whom he is connected. The best family for Eric will support and encourage these connections. The right family also will provide him with the love and attention he needs during these important years and throughout life. Eric needs a high level of supervision to help him feel safe and cared for. Eric will do best with a family that can hold him accountable for his choices and help him learn from his mistakes.

Eric is one of 147 children in the Maine Department of Health and Human Services care who are seeking an adoptive family. Based in Gardiner, A Family for ME is a nonprofit program that works in collaboration with Maine DHHS to find foster and adoptive families for Maine children.
