Points championships will be up for grabs in two of the five classes when Hermon’s Speedway 95 hosts its final Saturday night race card tonight beginning at 7.
Dixmont’s Lewis Batchelder has just an 11-point lead over Old Town’s Jason Trundy in the Sport-Four division while the Strictly Street class will feature a duel between Steuben’s Wayne Parritt Jr. and Ellsworth’s Brad Norris. Parritt carries a 22-point edge into the final race.
Hermon’s Kris Watson has an insurmountable 214-point lead over Franklin’s Michael Overlock in the Super Street class, Glenburn’s Jordan Pearson will join Watson as a points champion as he has a 153-point lead over Hermon’s Andrew Crosby in the Trucks class and Brenton Parritt of Steuben will take a safe 87-point lead over Stockton Springs’ Duane Seekins into the Pro Limited feature.
The Wacky Wednesday classes will conclude their seasons on Sunday, Sept. 14, beginning at 2.
There will be a 40-lap world championship Double O race, features in the Big Enduro and Ladies divisions and a Wicked Good Vintage Car race.
