BLUE HILL – Will St. Peter scored the winner with 5:46 left in regulation on a corner kick to lead Bucksport High School to a 4-3 schoolboy soccer victory over George Stevens Academy.

Jordan Trasko scored two goals for the 2-1 Golden Bucks. Jon Goodin added a goal as Cody Farrell and Shawn Powell provided assists. Cam St. Peter stopped eight of 15 shots.

Adam Groves scored two unassisted goals for the 2-1 Eagles. Nate Hines scored off a Dillon Lee assist. Josh Gale made 14 saves on 21 shots.

Machias 2, Woodland 1

At Woodland, Jacob Stevens scored two first-half goals to lift Machias over Woodland.

Ty Richards assisted Steven’s first goal for 2-0 Machias. Michael Jenkins stopped 27 shots.

Andy Brown scored late in the first half off a Chad James assist. Ryan Lincoln turned away 19 shots for 1-1 Woodland.

Narraguagus 8, Jonesport-Beals 1

At Jonesport, Tyler Tenney scored three goals and Dustin Gidney and Drew Ramsey added two apiece as Narraguagus of Harrington cruised.

Nate Best had the other goal for 2-0 Narraguagus and Brenden Tenney made four saves on eight shots.

Matthew Alley had the Jonesport-Beals goal off a Harold Lyons pass. Sid Look and Travis Alley combined for 19 saves on 43 shots.

It was Jonesport-Beals’ season-opener.

Penquis 5, Searsport 1

At Searsport, Lucas Grinnell scored a goal and assisted on two others as Penquis of Milo defeated Searsport.

Jesse McLaughlin and Ryan Bailey both had a goal and an assist for the 1-1 Patriots. Joe Leland and Alex Drummond added goals. Richie Russell stopped three of six shots.

Evan Kingsbury scored off a Chris Gillo assist in the first half for 0-3 Searsport. Dan Peach made 18 saves on 25 shots.

P.V.H.S. 2, Sumner 1

At Howland, Leigh Dolley scored in the first half and Ethan Babineau added a goal in the second to pace the 3-0 Howlers. Jacob Jones had 6 saves on 7 shots in goal for Penobscot Valley.

Anthony Cultrea had an unassisted goal in the first period for the 0-2 Tigers. Josh Ring blocked 17 of 21 shots for Sumner.

Medomak 1, Mt. View 0 (2OT)

At Waldoboro, Joaquin Perez scored with 4:36 remaining in the second overtime to lead Medomak Valley past Mount View of Thorndike.

Tyler Isidro assisted on Perez’ goal for 2-0 Medomak Valley. Caleb Thompson made 11 saves on 17 shots.

Nick Knight rejected 11 of 20 shots for 0-2 Mount View.

MDI 5, Hermon 1

At Hermon, Abe Gladstone scored three goals to help lead Mount Desert Island past Hermon.

Ben Steel had a goal and an assist for 2-0 MDI. Carl Ferm scored a goal and Evan Hendricks provided an assist. Ben Cummings blocked two of seven shots.

Joel Adams scored a second-half goal off a Kevin Frederick assist for 0-2 Hermon. Jerimy McIntyre turned away five of 10 shots.

JV: MDI 2-1

Girls soccer

Searsport 8, Penquis 0

At Milo, Tianna Faunce and Kali Berenyi had hat tricks as Searsport shut out Penquis.

Kayla Garcelon and Shannon Higgins added goals for 1-1 Searsport. Megan Higgins faced 22 shots.

Kristyn Chapman faced 24 shots for 0-1 Penquis.

George Stevens 7, Sumner 0

At East Sullivan, Alida Peake and Quinn Curtin each scored two goals to lead the George Stevens Academy Eagles of Blue Hill.

Doran Curtin, Vespa Davis and Maddie Theoharidis each scored a goal for the 2-0 Eagles. Hannah Van Der Eb made three saves on five shots.

Kelsey Tucker, Ashley Pennartz and Katelyn Hodgkins combined to make 22 saves on 44 shots for 1-1 Sumner.

MDI 4, Hermon 1

At Bar Harbor, Danielle Hutchins had a hat trick with three goals as Mount Desert Island defeated Hermon.

Stephanie van Gorder also scored for the 1-2 Trojans. Chelsea Currin, Brigitte Pratt and Bethany van Gorder provided assists. Elizabeth Sargent made 17 saves on 19 shots.

Lindsey Allen scored an unassisted goal in the second half for 1-1 Hermon. Kayla Treadwell turned away 15 of 26 shots.

JV: MDI 3-0

Field Hockey

Mt. View 2, Camden Hills 1 (OT)

At Rockport, Brianna Moody scored two goals including the winner two minutes into overtime to lift Mount View of Thorndike over Camden Hills.

Moody tied it for 2-0 Mount View in the first half. Juni Garvin blocked four of five shots.

Hillary Gordon scored off a Maci Heal assist in the first for 0-1 Camden Hills. Sara Nason stopped six of eight shots.

JV: Mount View 2-0

Leavitt 1, Belfast 0

At Turner, Courtney Erskine scored on a penalty stroke 4:21 into the first as Leavitt blanked Belfast.

Kristen Capen stopped all nine shots for 2-0 Leavitt.

Paxton Mohney made nine saves on 10 shots for 0-1 Belfast.

JV: Leavitt 2-1

Georges Valley 3, Hall-Dale 2

At Farmingdale, Colleen Haskell scored a goal and assisted another as Georges Valley of Thomaston defeated Hall-Dale.

Adriana Lombardo scored a first-half goal off a Brooke Fournier assist for 2-1 Georges Valley. Emma Vachon added a goal with an assist from Haskell. Ciara Smalley blocked 15 of 17 shots.

Jess Woods had a goal and an assist for 1-1 Hall-Dale. Brittany Veilleux scored a first-half goal. Megan Daigle made three saves on six shots.
