HOULTON – The Northern Maine Development Commission will host three workshops on intellectual property in three locations in Aroostook County.

Workshops will be held 1-4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1, at the Houlton Higher Education Center, Room 124; 1-4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, at the Nadeau Hall Conference Center, University of Maine at Fort Kent; 9 a.m.-noon Friday, Oct. 3, in the Board Room at the Northern Maine Development Commission in Houlton.

Intellectual property refers to creations of the mind: inventions, literary and artistic works, and symbols, names, images and designs used in commerce. The workshops are free. For information, contact Rod Thompson at 498-8736.
