BROOKLYN, N.Y. – Thomas McCole’s goal off assists from Alex Rickett and Nikolas Bodganovic lifted Maine to a 2-1 men’s soccer victory over Long Island Friday.

Philip Reed scored with a header in the first half off an assist from Corey Sinclair for Maine’s first goal. Alex Pilitsis had three saves on 12 shots for Maine.

Jukka Lehto scored for Long Island and Adam Janssen had four saves on eight Maine shots.
