BANGOR – Husson University announced it will launch its 2008-2009 Business Breakfast Series on Thursday, Oct. 2, with an address by Husson President William H. Beardsley on “the growing dynamic link between Husson and Maine’s business community.”

The breakfast will be held from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at the Dickerman Dining Commons on Husson’s Bangor campus. The fee is $10, which includes breakfast. For reservations call 941-7129, e-mail breakfast@husson.edu, or go to www.husson.edu/businessbreakfast .

The topics and dates of the subsequent business breakfasts are as follows:

. “Maine’s Economic Forecast” with Maine Development Foundation President Laurie Lachance, Thursday, Nov. 13.

. “Maine’s Banking Future” with John Edwards, executive vice president and chief banking officer at Bangor Savings Bank, and William Lucy, president and CEO of Merrill Bank, Thursday, Jan. 22.

. “Maine’s Energy Future” with John Kerry, director, Maine State Planning Office, Office of Energy Independence & Security, Thursday, Feb. 19.

. “Maine’s Transportation Future,” speaker to be announced, Thursday, March 12.

. “World View Series” presentation, speaker to be announced, Thursday, April 23.
