Stephanie Gardiner

University of Maine freshman forward Stephanie Gardiner was honored as the America East Field Hockey Rookie of the Week. Gardiner scored two goals and provided an assist in Maine’s 3-2 win over Monmouth Saturday. She was also named to the Sheraton Catamount Classic All-Tournament Team.

Gabby Cyr

University of Southern Maine senior Gabby Cyr of Fort Kent was named the Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week by the Little East Conference. Cyr finished first in the U-New England Cross Country Invitational. He finished with a time of 21 minutes, 5 seconds on the 5,000-meter course.

Tyler Jasud

University of Southern Maine junior Tayler Jasud of Rumford was named the Little East Conference Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week. Jasud won his second-straight race by claiming first in the U-New England Cross Country Invitational. He ran the five-mile course in a time of 28 minutes, 1 second.

Alison Bradley

University of Southern Maine senior Alison Bradley was honored as the Little East Conference Women’s Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week. Bradley posted a 1-1 record with a 1.00 goals against average and 22 saves.

Josh Lyvers

Colby College freshman forward Josh Lyvers was named the NESCAC Men’s Soccer Player of the Week. Lyvers scored the game-winning goal with four seconds left in the second overtime in a 2-1 win over Tufts Saturday.

Tim Millett

University of Maine at Farmington sophomore Tim Millett of Gorham was honored as the Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week by the North Atlantic Conference. Millett finished 12th in the UNE Invitational with a time of 29:49.

Cam Betts

University of Maine at Farmington freshman Cam Betts of Gray was named the North Atlantic Conference Men’s Cross Country Rookie of the Week. Betts claimed 13th in the UNE Invitational posting a time of 29:50.

Melani St. Pierre

Freshman Melanie St. Pierre of the University of Maine at Farmington was named the NAC Women’s Cross Country Rookie of the Week. St. Pierre placed sixth in the UNE Invitational with a time of 21:42 to lead the Beavers.

Kevin Byrne

Husson College sophomore Kevin Byrne of Winslow was named the Men’s Golf Player of the Week by the North Atlantic Conference. Byrne finished second in the Bowdoin Invitational with a two-day total of 149 to lead the Eagles to victory.

Mike Hersey

Husson College freshman Mike Hersey of Presque Isle was honored as the NAC Men’s Golf Rookie of the Week. Hersey finished seventh in the Bowdoin Invitational with a score of 152.

Amy Young

Maine Maritime Academy junior middle hitter Amy Young of Cumberland was named the North Atlantic Conference Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week. In three matches, Young had 29 kills, seven assists, four aces, 17 digs and five blocks.
