Unity men trip up EMCC 3-2

BANGOR – Ryan Dinsmore scored an unassisted goal with about five minutes left in regulation to break a 2-2 tie and lift Unity College to a 3-2 men’s soccer win over Eastern Maine Community College Monday.

Tim Stephenson had a goal and an assist for 1-4 Unity. Chad Pin also scored and Dan Cloutier provided an assist. Ian Shalit made 10 saves on 16 shots.

Jakob Lombard led 0-1 EMCC with a goal and an assist. Travis Landry scored a goal and Jordan Rich had an assist. Joel Neal blocked 11 of 14 shots

At Presque Isle on Saturday, Diana Manatt-Rogers scored an unassisted goal at the 18:52 mark of the first half, giving the Mariners the victory.

Jessica Stahl made five saves on 10 shots for 2-3 Maine Maritime Academy of Castine.

Carolynn Tuck made seven saves on 14 shots for 2-1 UMaine-Presque Isle.
