Big School (Classes A-B)

Zach Emeigh

Emeigh, a junior forward for the Ellsworth boys soccer team, had six goals and two assists as the Eagles remained unbeaten with three consecutive victories. Emeigh scored three goals in a 4-2 win over John Bapst of Bangor, then had a goal and an assist in a 4-0 victory over George Stevens Academy of Blue Hill, and added two goals and an assist in a 7-2 win against Foxcroft Academy.

Small School (Classes C-D)

Chad James

James, a senior for the Woodland boys soccer team, had three timely goals and an assist to lead the Dragons to a two victories. James scored the tying goal with 1:28 left in regulation against Shead of Eastport, then assisted on the game-winner in overtime. He then scored the go-ahead goal with 12 minutes remaining in a 4-2 win over Narraguagus of Harrington.

GIRLS

Big School (Classes A-B)

ELIZA ESTABROOK

The Bangor High School senior striker scored four goals and assisted on another in leading the Rams to wins over archrivals Hampden Academy and Brewer last week. Estabrook scored one goal and assisted on the eventual game-winner in Bangor’s triumph over the Broncos and recorded a hat trick against the Witches.

Small School (Classes C-D)

SUSAN LAVERTU

Madawaska’s Susan Lavertu recorded four goals in a 5-3 victory over Calais on Saturday. Two of those goals came in the second half as the Owls snapped a 2-2 halftime tie to improve to 5-3 on the season.
