CASTINE – Maine Maritime Academy’s Activities and Bands Committee, a student-governed organization, will sponsor its annual Fall Film Series at 7 p.m. Tuesdays in Delano Auditorium, Leavitt Hall, on campus. The films are free and open to all:
. Sept. 23: “Enchanted,” starring Susan Sarandon, James Marsden, Amy Adams, directed by Kevin Lima, rated PG.
. Sept. 30: “Forbidden Kingdom,” with Jackie Chan, Jet Li, directed by Rob Minkoff, rated PG-13.
. Oct. 7: “Hacking Democracy,” filmmakers Simon Ardizzone, Robert Cohen and Russell Michaels.
. Oct. 14: “The Right Stuff,” featuring Sam Shepard, Scott Glenn, directed by Philip Kaufman, rated PG.
. Oct. 21: “Paranoid Park,” filmmaker Gus Van Sant.
. Oct. 28: “The Exorcist,” featuring Ellen Burstyn, Linda Blair, directed by William Friedkin, rated R.
. Nov. 4: “October Sky,” featuring Laura Dern, Jake Gyllenhaal, William Lee Scott, Chad Lindberg, Chris Owen, directed by Joe Johnston, rated PG.
. Nov. 11: “On the Waterfront,” featuring Marlon Brando, Karl Malden, directed by Elia Kazan.
. Nov. 18: “Deep Water,” directed by Louise Osmond and Jerry Rothwell, rated PG.
. Dec. 2: “Persepolis,” directed by Vincent Paronnaud and Marjane Satrapi.
