Shawn Smith

Hampden Academy quarterback and safety Shawn Smith has been chosen as the Pine Tree Conference Football Player of the Week. Smith ran for 122 yards on eight carries for three touchdowns, and threw for a touchdown and a two-point conversion. Smith also had three tackles and a 45-yard average on two punts for the Broncos.

Josh Lyvers

Josh Lyvers of the Colby College men’s soccer team has been selected as the ECAC Co-Player of the Week. Lyvers helped the Mules to a 2-1 overtime win over Tufts University on Saturday scoring with four seconds remaining in overtime.
