HERMON – A ceremony will be held before tonight’s Hermon High School boys soccer game to dedicate and recognize the completion of phase two of the Greater Hermon Community Athletic Complex.
The public is welcome to attend the ceremony which will begin at approximately 6:15 p.m. after the junior varsity soccer game and before the start of the varsity game between Central of Corinth and Hermon.
Phase two of the project included the addition of grandstand seating, restrooms and a brick entrance with an archway. Town councilors and school officials will recognize local contributors to the project and people responsible for its success and completion.
Part of the ceremony will include naming the soccer field Pottle Field in honor of Hermon businessman Barry Pottle, a Hermon High alum who was involved in the lighting project for the field and was the driving force behind phase two of the project, according to Hermon athletic director Paul Soucy.
