Matthew charismatic, fun-loving

Matthew is an engaging, friendly child who is full of smiles and loves to laugh. Born in 2000, Matthew enjoys many activities consistent with most boys his age: SpongeBob, arts and crafts, and learning about insects. Although Matthew may be small in stature, his soft-spoken voice, charming personality and beautiful smile endear him to many.

Matthew has some academic challenges and attended a developmental school for children with special needs during the last school year. Matthew has made strong gains in his ability to engage with peers, follow directions and stay on task. He is an intelligent and creative child.

Matthew is eager to have a family he can trust to put his needs above all else. He wants to be loved, cherished and accepted as an unconditional addition to a special family. Matthew’s fun-loving and charismatic nature serve as a solid foundation for future development in a family of his own.

An adoption subsidy is available for the most appropriate family. Matthew is one of the 147 children in Maine Department of Health & Human Service’s care who is seeking an adoptive family. Based in Gardiner, A Family for ME is a nonprofit program that works in collaboration with Maine DHHS to find foster and adoptive families for Maine children in care. For more information about foster or adoptive parenting, Matthew or other children available for adoption, contact A Family for ME toll-free at 877-505-0545 or visit www.AFamilyForMe.org and see the Heart Gallery of photographs of some of the many children awaiting a “forever family. “
