SHELBURNE, N.H. – Two motorcyclists were recovering Monday from injuries they suffered in a collision with a moose during the weekend in northern New Hampshire.
Daniel and Carol Lavoie, both 48 and from Nashua, were flown to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Maine, after the Saturday evening crash. Daniel Lavoie originally was listed in critical condition, but had improved to serious condition by Monday morning. Carol Lavoie was in fair condition.
State police said the two were riding their bikes west on Route 2 in Shelburne about 6 p.m. Saturday when they struck the moose.
