Players of the week

BRADY VOSE

Vose, a senior from Mattanawcook Academy of Lincoln team, has been named LTC football player of the week. Vose rushed for 68 yards on 15 carries during the Lynx?s 14-8 win over Orono and also returned an interception 55 yards for a touchdown. He also had seven tackles as MA improved to 2-1 on the season.

COLLEGE

Will Pike

Saint Joseph’s College’s Will Pike of Gorham was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Men’s Soccer Goal Keeper of the Week as well as the ECAC Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week. Pike had 23 saves and allowed two goals in a 2-0-1 week.

Doug MacCallum

Saint Joseph’s College’s Doug MacCallum was honored as the GNAC Men’s Soccer Player of the Week. MacCallum scored three goals during the week including both goals in a 2-0 victory over Daniel Webster College.

Loni Pisani

Colby College sophomore goalkeeper Loni Pisani was named the ECAC Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week. Pisani recorded two shutouts as the Mules earned two 1-0 overtime wins over UNE and Trinity.

Kyle McAllister

Bates College junior safety Kyle McAllister was honored as the ECAC Football Defensive Player of the Week. McAllister had a game-high 13 tackles including one tackle for a loss as Bates dropped to Trinity, 17-7.

Erin O’Connor

University of Maine at Machias sophomore Erin O’Connor was named the Sunrise Conference Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week. O’Connor scored six goals and assisted two others in wins over Fisher and College of St. Joseph.

Andre Anderson

University of Maine at Fort Kent sophomore Andre Andreson was named the Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week by the Sunrise Conference. Anderson had a goal and an assist in a 2-0 win over SUNY Canton and two goals in an 11-0 win over Paul Smith’s College.

Damion Stone

University of Maine at Fort Kent sophomore goalkeeper Damion Stone was named the Sunrise Conference Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week. Stone posted two shutouts in wins over SUNY Canton and Paul Smith’s.

Amber Garrison

University of Maine at Fort Kent sophomore Amber Garrison was honored as the Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week by the Sunrise Conference. Garrison had 49 assists, six aces, four kills and two blocks in three matches.
