Experience: I currently work as the coordinator of the Union River Watershed Coalition, and I serve on a variety of boards, including Healthy Acadia, Union River Healthy Communities, and the Maine Fair Trade Campaign. I also serve on the Maine State Citizen Trade Policy Commission. I worked as a fair trade organizer on a congressional race in Ohio, and subsequently worked for the congressman in his D.C. office. I served as the coordinator of SustainUS Maine, as national secretary of SustainUS, and as the sole youth representative on the U.S. government delegation to the U.N. Commission on Sustainable Development.

Reason for running: I want to use my experience, skills, dedication, passion and energy to serve my community and the state of Maine, to help preserve what we value, and to bring about positive change. I understand the severity of the challenges ahead of us, from economy and health care issues, to energy and fisheries issues. We must work tirelessly to bring about the solutions we need.

Reason for running: I can offer my constituents a well proven record of business and local governmental experience, including preparation of multimillion-dollar budgets, an active understanding of local and state taxation implications, labor, wage, and contract negotiations. I have hands-on experience with petroleum supply and energy-related challenges, direct contact with our marine fisheries and boatbuilding industry.
