BELFAST – Belfast Public Health Nursing Association will sponsor two flu clinics in October.

The first is scheduled 8-11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14, at the Waldo County General Hospital Education Center at 118 Northport Ave.

The second flu clinic is scheduled 8-11:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 20, at the Education Center.

Individuals are asked to pay $20 to help defray the cost of the vaccine. Medicare and MaineCare coverage will not be accepted at this time.

The vaccine is recommended for anyone 50 years or older, especially those with medical conditions such as diabetes, heart disease or respiratory conditions that place them at high risk for complications from influenza.
