LEE – Ethan Qualey’s second goal of the game, coming with eight minutes remaining, gave Katahdin of Stacyville a valuable insurance goal as the Cougars improved to 10-0 with a 4-2 schoolboy soccer victory over Lee Academy Monday.
Marshall Davis had a goal and two assists for the winners and Kolby Gallagher had the other goal. Matt Tarr made nine saves on 16 shots.
Dean MacDonald and Ocean Oh scored for the 1-4-1 Pandas and A.J. Harris made 14 saves on 22 shots.

At Eastport, Noah von Rotz scored two goals as Washington Academy of East Machias beat Shead.
Milos Gautier, Nick Hickson and Roman Richards scored for 7-1 Washington Academy. Bryce Colbeth turned away four of 10 shots.
Tommy Pottle scored on a penalty kick in the second half for the 3-4 Tigers. Tyler Mitchell saved 15 of 24 shots.

At Bucksport, Jordan Trasko scored two goals and assisted on another to push Bucksport past George Stevens Academy of Blue Hill.
Dom Kone and Jon Grindle each had a goal and an assist for the 3-5-1 Golden Bucks. Mitchell Marks provided an assist and Joe Goodin turned away six of 12 shots.
Ben Plohr scored an unassisted goal in the first half for 3-5-1 George Stevens. Josh Gale stopped 13 of 24 shots.

At Woodland, Chad James scored four goals and assisted another as Woodland defeated Jonesport-Beals.
Scott Boomer added two goals for 6-3 Woodland. Brad Arthurs had a goal and an assist and Ben Sears provided three assists. Tom Putnam and Charles Tomah each had an assist. Ryan Lincoln saved eight of 10 shots.
Freshman Matt Alley scored both goals for 0-8 Jonesport-Beals. Terrell Carver provided an assist and Cody Thistlewood made 18 saves on 25 shots.
Piscataquis 2, Schenck 1
At East Millinocket, Kyle Stevens scored an unassisted goal with 2:29 left in regulation to break the 1-1 tie and give Piscataquis of Guilford the win over Schenck.
Brian Hackett scored a first-half goal off a Damien Bridge assist for 4-3-2 Piscataquis. Corbin Shufelt stopped 10 of 26 shots.
Chris Ouellette scored in the first half with an assist from Devin Dickey. Ryan Thompson turned away 24 of 37 shots for 1-7-1 Schenck.
Dexter 3, Foxcroft 0
At Dover-Foxcroft, Lee Gustin, Ryan Wilks and Devon Grant scored to give Dexter the win over Foxcroft Academy.
Tor Anderson provided an assist for Dexter. Nathan Wyman stopped all five shots.
Alex Gray saved eight of 11 shots for Foxcroft Academy.

DI-Stonington 4, Narraguagus 1
At Deer Isle, four different players scored as Deer Isle-Stonington beat Narraguagus of Harrington.
Holly Brewer, Erika Hutchins, Meaghan Robinson and Janelle Ciomei scored for the 2-3-2 Mariners. Esther Adams provided two assists. Anika Powers stopped 10 of 18 shots.
Samantha Baker scored off a Kristina Bailey assist early in the second half for 0-6-1 Narraguagus. Baker made 18 saves on 27 shots.
Penobscot Valley 3, Penquis 0
At Howland, Molly Thompson, Leslie Theriault and Alysa Whitten scored goals to lead Penobscot Valley to victory over Penquis of Milo.
Casey McCloskey stopped 12 of 16 shots for 5-2-1 Penobscot Valley.
Erica Lyford saved 20 of 32 shots for 1-7-1 Penquis.
Field hockey
Camden Hills 3, Nokomis 3
At Rockport, Camden Hill’s Sarah Nason and Nokomis of Newport’s Maria Adams didn’t allow a goal through two overtimes.
Maci Heal tied it at 3-3 with 4:07 left in regulation for 2-5-1 Camden Hills. Monica Doucette had a goal and an assist and Hillary Gordon added a goal. Katie Weiler assisted Doucette’s goal while Nason stopped seven of 10 shots.
Sabrina Vaillancourt scored two goals for the 7-1-2 Warriors. Jordan McGinnis also had a goal. Adams turned away nine of 12 shots.
