BUCKSPORT – Rachel Hawes, a senior teller with Camden National Bank’s branch in Bucksport, has recognized the Children’s Tumor Foundation with a donation made in her name from Camden National Corp. in recognition of her service efforts in the Bucksport branch, the bank said.
Hawes chose the foundation because she wants to help with ongoing research and medical efforts that support individuals and families affected by neurofibromatosis, or NF.
“A relative was diagnosed with NF and we have all been very active with working to raise money and awareness,” said Hawes. “My hope is to be able to reach out to those affected here in Maine, whether it is a person living with NF, a friend or relative.”
