ROCKLAND – Ascendant Energy, a local energy solutions and solar company, said it has introduced a management program called Encompass that maps and puts into practice energy improvement projects, specifically for multiunit housing properties.

“Multiunit properties in Maine are eligible for low-rate loans for efficiency and solar improvements,” Chris Straka, chief executive officer of Ascendant Energy, said in a press release. “The loan process involves energy audits and project design that requires expertise in building and energy systems. Encompass lays the groundwork for owners and management companies to finance improvements that pay for themselves in energy savings.”
