LONNIE HACKETT

Hackett, a junior running back for the Bangor football team, rushed for 263 yards and three touchdowns on 34 carries during the Rams’ 21-13 victory over Edward Little of Auburn. Hackett scored on runs of 8, 32 and 40 yards as Bangor halted a two-game losing streak.

Small School (Classes C-D)

IAN CHAMPEON

Champeon, a junior running back for the Foxcroft Academy football team, rushed for 115 yards on 14 carries and scored five touchdowns as the defending Class C state champions defeated Orono 47-20. Champeon scored on second-half runs of 3, 28 and 14 yards after catching first-half touchdown passes of 22 and 18 yards.

GIRLS

Big School (Classes A-B)

ASHLEY ROBINSON

Robinson, a freshman midfielder on the Hampden Academy girls soccer team, scored three goals in the Broncos’ 5-1 victory over Messalonskee of Oakland on Tuesday evening. Two of the goals came on breakaways as the Broncos won their fourth straight game to improve to 5-3.

Small School (Classes C-D)

ALEX CROCKER

Orono soccer player Alex Crocker recorded a hat trick as the Red Riots improved to 4-2-2 on the season with a 5-0 shutout of Penquis of Milo.
