FORT KENT – “Forest Song,” a community chorus jointly sponsored by the University of Maine at Fort Kent and Christ Church Congregational is looking for soprano, alto, tenor, baritone, and bass voices to join them for their winter-Christmas concert of carols, chorales, seasonal pieces, and old and new favorites. Community members from both sides of the border are welcome to take part in the chorus.
“Forest Song” is dedicated to creating and performing choral music for the entertainment of the public. For its members, it offers the enjoyment of participating in music creation spanning a variety of genres and the potential for growth in the musical arts. “Forest Song” has been in existence since 2004 and is supported by membership donations and community sponsors.
The chorus rehearses Saturday mornings from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Christ Church Congregational on 35 Pleasant St., next to the university’s main driveway.
