Dennysville library offers learning events

DENNYSVILLE – The Lincoln Library, as part of its new Learn! at your Library program, will present the three events in the month of October:

. 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10: Steve Crawford, Environmental Director of the Passamaquoddy Tribe at Pleasant Point, will give a presentation on energy options for homeowners, including how to make diesel and ethanol from greenhouse algae, solar panels, and using photo-voltaics to wean homeowners from the electric distribution grid.

. 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11: Ed Moore, professional renovator, will present a program on weather stripping, what to use and how to use it.

. 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24: Jody and Lee Rose of the storytelling duo “Tales Told” will tell “Haunting Tales: Ghost Stories of Downeast Maine,” an all-ages program.

The Learn! at your Library series provides an opportunity for local people to share their knowledge and skills with the community. Admission to all events is free. For more information call 726-4263.
