HERMON – Olivia Gardner, Katie Eastman and Cally Mountain each netted a goal in the last six minutes of play to lift the unbeaten Dexter Tigers to a 4-0 high school field hockey win over the Hermon Hawks Wednesday.

Jess Mason scored the first goal for Dexter in the first half. Sam Conway stopped eight of 12 shots for the 8-0 Tigers.

Jamie Roy made 15 saves on 20 shots for 3-5 Hermon.

JV: Dexter 2-0

Girls soccer

Bangor 1, Messalonskee 0

At Oakalnd, Kailey McKenna scored the game-winning goal on an assist from Eliza Estabrook with 1:48 remaining in the game to lift Bangor past Messalonskee.

Kortnie Hudgens made seven saves on 11 shots for the 6-2 Rams.

Boys soccer

Old Town 6, Foxcroft 1

At Old Town, Chad Paradis and Janis Schaefer netted two goals apiece as Old Town downed Foxcroft.

Dan LeBreton had a goal and an assist while Dan Zmistowski added a goal and Cody Smart and Jake Leithiser assists for 6-2-2 Old Town.

Lee Larry and Alex Caballero teamed up for six saves on seven shots.

Diego de la Torre scored off a Jordan Kim pass for 0-8-1 Foxcroft. Alex Gray saved 21 of 27 shots.

PVHS 1, Dexter 1 (2OT)

At Dexter, the Tigers’ C.J. Giles scored with 13:31 left in regulation and the game stayed tied through two overtimes.

Will Pearsall assisted on Giles’ goal for 5-1-3 Dexter. Nathan Wyman had 10 saves on 25 shots.

John McKinnon scored off a David Hallett pass for 4-1-3 Penobscot Valley of Howland. Jacob Jones stopped 18 of 36 shots.

JV: 0-0

Lee Acad. 4, Schenck 2

At Lee, Carston Kaiser had two goals and an assist to pace the Pandas to victory.

Hector Guitteriez added a goal and an assist for 2-4-1 Lee, while Jason Oh scored a goal and Dean MacDonald had an assist.

A.J. Harris made 10 saves on 18 shots for the Pandas.

Aaron Hutchins and Jared Waite each scored for 1-8-1 Schenck of East Millinocket, while Ryan Thompson stopped 13 of 22 shots.

Presque Isle 5, Central 0

At Corinth, Russ Mortland notched a hat trick as undefeated Presque Isle rolled.

Warren Zubrick and Isaac Lajoie added goals for the 8-0-1 Wildcats. Dillon Kingsbury saved 12 of 16 shots.

Cole Haskell and Tyler Duncan combined for 14 saves on 25 shots for 5-3-2 Central.

JV: Presque Isle 8-0

Caribou 0, Hermon 0 (2OT)

At Hermon, neither team could manage a goal through regulation and two overtimes.

Eric Brown had nine saves on 20 shots for 6-2-2 Caribou while Corey Johnson stopped eight of 14 for 1-8-1 Hermon.

JV: Hermon 3-1

Bangor Christian 2, Orono 1

At Orono, Bruce Lee’s goal with 20 minutes left in the second half lifted the Patriots to victory.

Ian Staples had given Orono a 1-0 halftime lead on an assist from Nikolai Renedo.

Brett Bradford tied the game early in the second half on an assist from Bradley Wilcox.

Wilcox also assisted on Lee’s game-winner.

Tyler Alexander made eight saves on nine shots for 6-3-1 Bangor Christian.

A.J. Coleman made six saves on eight shots for 7-3 Orono.

Machias 3, Jonesport-Beals 2 (2OT)

At Machias, Matt Little scored with 2:25 left in the second overtime as the Bulldogs rallied for the win.

Zach Fenton and Terrell Carver each scored in the first half to give 0-9 Jonesport-Beals a 2-0 lead.

Jacob Stevens scored twice in the second half for Machias, once with six minutes left and the tying goal with 2:50 to play in regulation.

Mike Jenkins made six saves on 13 shots for 7-2 Machias.

Jonesport-Beals’ Cody Thistlewood stopped 35 of 52 shots.

George Stevens 6, Searsport 0

At Blue Hill, Ben Plohr scored three goals and posted two assists to power George Stevens Academy by Searsport.

Will Brokaw added two goals for 4-5-1 George Stevens. Dillon Lee had a goal and two assists while Alex Kim grabbed an assist. Josh Gale made three saves on five shots for the Eagles.

Dan Peach stopped 10 of 23 shots for 1-7 Searsport.
