HERMON – Sabrina Sharrow and Molly Cyr each scored a goal to help the Foxcroft Academy Ponies beat the Hermon Hawks 2-0 Friday in high school field hockey action.
Mariah Arno recorded two assists for the 8-2 Ponies and Kelsey Boss also provided an assist. Cassie Curtis stopped 10 of 15 shots.
Jamie Roy turned away 15 of 19 shots for 3-6 Hermon.

At Pittsfield, Sabrina Vaillancourt and Leigh Lander scored two goals apiece at Nokomis of Newport defeated Lincoln Academy of Newcastle.
Alison Berg had a goal and two assists for the 8-1-2 Warriors. Erin Knight and Rachael Tozier both had a goal and an assist as Jordin McGinnis, Katelyn Chase and Sara Gould scored. Maria Adams didn’t face a shot.
Ari Clifford turned away 16 of 26 shots for 0-8 Lincoln Academy.
Central 3, Orono 1
At Hampden on Thursday night, Rachel Trafton scored two first-half goals as Central of Corinth defeated Orono.
Janelle Portmann added a goal for the 4-5 Red Devils. Roberta Trafton and Taryn Pineo provided assists. Brittany Cote saved 11 of 12 shots.
Chelsea Wagner scored in the first half for the 3-6 Red Riots. Amber Saucier turned away eight of 15 shots.
Girls soccer
So. Aroostook 1, Lee 0
At Lee, Brittany Charette scored an unassisted goal with 32:17 remaining in the second half to give Southern Aroostook of Dyer Brook the win over Lee Academy.
Emily Cummings saved six of 12 shots for 9-1-1 Southern Aroostook.
Felicia Thorton turned away eight of 16 shots for the 2-5 Pandas.
MDI 5, Bucksport 0
At Bar Harbor, Bethany Van Gorder scored four goals as Mount Desert Island shut out Bucksport.
Braillee Black added a goal for the 3-6 Trojans. Elizabeth Sargent stopped six of seven shots.
Carrie Daigle saved seven of 18 shots for 0-8-1 Bucksport.
Foxcroft Acad. 3, Hermon 2
At Hermon, Ali Adkins scored her second goal of the game off a Megan Taylor assist in the second half, lifting the Ponies to victory.
Adkins also scored off an assist from She-Ann Sergeant, who set up Hillary Baramante’s goal. Sarah Whittemore made three saves on five shots for 5-5 Foxcroft Academy.
Lindsey Allen and Erika Thayer scored the goals for 2-6 Hermon, with Jamie Treawell providing an assist. Sara Bishop made 16 saves on 19 shots.

At Rockland, Novelle Szandzik scored the winner off a Baillie Boggs assist four minutes into the game as Rockland held off Lincoln Academy of Newcastle.
Kayla McGuire saved 18 of 26 shots for 2-5-2 Rockland.
Emma Lazzari made six saves on nine shots for 5-4-1 Lincoln Academy.
Narraguagus 3, Shead 2
At Eastport, Kelsey Radley booted in a goal from six yards out with 1:14 left in the second overtime to lift the Knights of Harrington to their first victory of the season.
Samantha Baker scored in the first half for the 1-7-1 Knights and Meghan Hatt added a second-half goal. Beth Rote made 17 saves on 19 shots.
Cassie Barnes scored off a direct kick with 6:58 left in regulation for 2-6 Shead and Robyn Stuart converted a penalty kick with 1:45 remaining to send the game into overtime. Cassandra Stanhope made 13 saves on 16 shots.
Boys soccer
So. Aroostook 2, Lee Acad. 1
At Lee, Tyler Robinson scored off a Dakota Sleeper assist 10 minutes into the second half, giving the Warriors a 2-0 lead and the eventual margin of victory.
Patrick Goodall scored an unassisted goal for 5-4-1 Southern Aroostook of Dyer Brook. Dillion Boulier made eight saves on 14 shots.
Hector Guttierrez converted a pass from Jian Ye for 2-5-1 Lee Academy. A.J. Harris made nine saves on 16 shots.

At Thorndike, Dale Winchenbach scored a goal and assisted on another as Medomak Valley of Waldoboro beat Mount View.
Marc Laliberte, Joaquin Perez and Zach Genthner also scored for the 6-3 Panthers. Nathan McBrien and Brian Sweeney also provided assists. Caleb Thompson stopped three of six shots.
Zach Babin turned away 14 of 29 shots for 3-4-1 Mount View.

At Ellsworth, Patrick Kelley scored two goals off throw-ins deflecting into the net off defensive players as Ellsworth narrowly defeated Mount Desert Island of Bar Harbor.
Zach Emeigh scored an unassisted goal for 7-1-1 Ellsworth. Jordan Carter turned away four of seven shots.
Abe Gladstone scored both goals for the 4-5-1 Trojans. Ben Cummings stopped eight of 14 shots.
